A Colossal Dilemma Within Science & Religion | In5D.com

A Colossal Dilemma Within Science & Religion | In5D.com: "The Destiny of Man is to unite, not to divide. If you keep on dividing you end up as a collection of monkeys throwing nuts at each other out of separate trees." ~ T.H. White.

Let me assure you - I do believe in God. I believe in the Divine, with a big 'D.' I believe in a vastness, which has created this Universe and others, which our human minds can hardly digest. What I don't believe in anymore is science, or religion.

Uri Alon: Why truly innovative science demands a leap into the unknown | Talk Video | TED.com

Uri Alon: Why truly innovative science demands a leap into the unknown | Talk Video | TED.com: While studying for his PhD in physics, Uri Alon thought he was a failure because all his research paths led to dead ends. But, with the help of improv theater, he came to realize that there could be joy in getting lost. A call for scientists to stop thinking of research as a direct line from question to answer, but as something more creative. It's a message that will resonate, no matter what your field.

English - urzeitcode.com: Can the global food problem at last be solved – without using genetic engineering? In his new book the "Primeval Code" (Munich 2007) Swiss journalist Luc Brgin unveils the secret of a sensational biological discovery at the pharmaceutical giant Ciba (now Novartis), which unfortunately has been ignored by the experts up to the present day. In laboratory experiments the researchers there Dr. Guido Ebner and Heinz Schrch exposed cereal seeds and fish eggs to an "electrostatic field" – in other words, to a high voltage field, in which no current flows.

10 Common Mainstream Beliefs Science Proves Incorrect |

10 Common Mainstream Beliefs Science Proves Incorrect |: We decided to put together a well researched list of 10 myths that are often believed to be true on this planet. The criteria that we had for all except one was that it would be wellresearchedand must contain multiplescientificstudies or sources. We decided to pick myths that would not only be insightful for the average person but also for the average truth seeker out there.

This list is a powerful tool to send to others as it can assist in opening them up to looking outside the box and getting more into asking questions and looking at science while leaving the emotions aside. This is a crucial step in awakening ourselves to the shift and changes going on so be sure to share this list with others!

The Woman Who Saved Monterey Bay : Discovery News#mkcpgn=rssnws1#mkcpgn=rssnws1#mkcpgn=rssnws1#mkcpgn=rssnws1#mkcpgn=rssnws1#mkcpgn=rssnws1: "Today, Monterey Bay is a tourist lure, a place to go whale-watching, to gaze at the sea otters lazing on their backs at the water's surface, or simply to drink in the scenery. It is the prototypical paradisaical destination, a riot of wildlife and natural beauty.
It was not always so."

Steps of the Scientific Method

Steps of the Scientific Method: "Key Info
The scientific method is a way to ask and answer scientific questions by making observations and doing experiments.
The steps of the scientific method are to:
Ask a Question
Do Background Research
Construct a Hypothesis
Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
Communicate Your Results
It is important for your experiment to be a fair test. A 'fair test' occurs when you change only one factor (variable) and keep all other conditions the same."

Ridiculed science mavericks vindicated

Ridiculed science mavericks vindicated: "While it's true that at least 99% of revolutionary announcements from the fringes of science are just as bogus as they seem, we cannot dismiss every one of them without investigation. If we do, then we'll certainly take our place among the ranks of scoffers who accidentally helped delay numbers of major scientific discoveries throughout history. Beware, for many discoveries such as powered flight and drifting continents today only appear sane and acceptable because we have such powerful hindsight. These same advancements were seen as obviously a bunch of disgusting lunatic garbage during the years they were first discovered."

‘Feminine’ science catches girls’ interest

‘Feminine’ science catches girls’ interest: "What makes scientific topics personally relevant and thus interesting to girls? Researchers at the University of Luxembourg found that the reason why girls are less interested in science than boys is that scientific topics are commonly presented in a male context. When scientific concepts in physics, information technology, and statistics were presented in a female friendly way -- as for example relating to online shopping or cosmetic surgery -- the mean level of girls' interest rose. However, the boys' interest in these topics simultaneously decreased."

Female topics encourage girls to study science, study finds

Female topics encourage girls to study science, study finds: "ScienceDaily (Feb. 16, 2011) — Girls are more interested in studying science if topics are presented in a female friendly way. This is one of the findings of Dr Sylvie Kerger the University of Luxembourg whose research is published online the British Journal of Educational Psychology by BPS Journals in partnership with Wiley-Blackwell."
