Scientists Generate Magnetic Field by Using Heat Instead of Electricity | SciTech Daily: EPFL scientists have provided the first evidence ever that it is possible to generate a magnetic field by using heat instead of electricity. The phenomenon is referred to as the Magnetic Seebeck effect or ‘thermomagnetism’.
